  • SSL problem on VMWare Server Virtual Machine

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone's geared up and ready for Christmas!

I've got a rather annoying problem which I can't seem to resolve...

    Basically the set up is:

Head Office Server (Lets call it HOSRV01) is running Server 2003 R2 SP2 x64 with VMWare Server 1.0.10 build 203137

There are a couple of virtual servers on there (Lets call them VMSRV01 and VMSRV02)

There are 2 remote offices each with a single server in them. (REMOTE01 and REMOTE02) connected to the Head Office via a site to site VPN using Cisco 857w's

The issue is I cannot access port 443 on VMSRV01 or VMSRV02 from across the VPN.

    ie:

    REMOTE01 or REMOTE02 to 443 on VMSRV01 or VMSRV02 - Doesn't work
VMSRV01 to 443 on VMSRV02 - Works Fine (and vice versa)
    HOSRV01 to 443 on VMSRV01 or VMSRV02 - Works fine
    REMOTE01 or REMOTE02 to 25 on VMSRV01 or VMSRV02 - Works fine
    REMOTE01 or REMOTE02 to 443 on HOSRV01 - Works fine

The last point there indicates it's not a router/firewall prob (plus the firewall ruls are completely opened up across the VPN).

It seems like VMWare has some sort of firewall in it blocking 443 to virtual machines, or there is a port conflict.

    Has anyone got any ideas?

    Many Thanks in advance!!
