  • creating a VM image of an existing OS

    Hello!
I'm new to virtualisation. I know the basics how it works and I've got a question:

Is it possible, and how, to create an image of an OS that I'm using now on one PC and use it like a VM image on an another with all the programs and stuff installed?

What version of VMware are you using server, ESX, vSphere?

There should be a converter option but we will need more info about the software you are using.
