VMware Server 2.0 without Server Console

  • VMware Server 2.0 without Server Console

    Hi Guys,

    Just install vmserver 2.0 1st time on win xp to test some thing, but there is only web console with very limited options even though its a admin login, I can't find vm ware server console to use existing vmachines or some other options , is any 1 knw why, did i do some thing rong,

    Advise please...........

    Nope, there is only the webgui....
    What are you missing then?

      That is correct. There is no console. But you can use the Virtual infrastructure client to manage your VMware server 2.0 installation.

          If you are using the Web interface there will be a tab called "CONSOLE"

          click on it and you will get a console to your Virtual Machine

            Thanks Maish,

            I can't see any console tab, this is my 1st time I am using VM server 2, I have preconfigured 2003 server which I want to run in it. I logon using my host account if you know what I mean don't you?

            Captured snapshot is attached..could you please advise what is a mistake?

              You have to click the virtual server first.

                Hmm..Ok..

                I create a new virtual machine and now need to install a OS....but I want to use existing VM like we used to use in older versions...

                Hope its all mkae sense and I might have some good advise
