  • SBS server 2003 on VMware in Ubunut environment

Hello to all, and thanks for helping.

I have a single office, and am thinking of using Ubuntu to run thin clients, and do web, file, and print serving. I have a single application that requires windows to run, and was thinking of using VMware to virutalize sbs2003, and then using something like rdesktop to access the program as needed.

Is this something that seems feasible, or am I asking for head aches?

    Thanks again!

Yes this is feasible - just make sure you have enough resource available for your virtual machine

Ubuntu works happily with Windows and VMware been using both in combination together since Ubuntu Edgy 6.10.
