  • Reporting VMware Settings?

    Hi,

In my new role (not having fully started yet) I've been given the task of handing over some virtual systems to support ... IOW, I didn't build them but I'm having to fill in all the stuff prior to handover.

Some of the information is quite specific, like on which SAN given virtual disks are hosted? Much of this information is probably in the VMX file but I am unsure how to get a copy of that directly from a complex business SAN.

Anyway, any ideas how I can get this information?

there'sprobably a way to script it.. but the best way to learn it would be to actually go through vi client..
