  • VM won't power on from been suspended

Hi, Well, following on from my 1st stupid post here is my next!

I've got 6 VM's that I suspended, and 4 have come back up fine, yet 2 just refuse to play. When I try and power them back in, all I get is the following.

    Error

Failed to find a host for powering on the virtual machine.

    HELP!

The 6 VM's are split up between 2 ESX servers, and its one on each that wont power back in.

Why would these 2 VM's be any different to the other 4. each one that one power on is on.

Any help or ideas of where to look would be amazing...

Re: VM won't power on from been suspended

    Hello,

    1. Does these VMs have CPU affinity settings?
    2. Have you tried removing your VMs from the Inventory and again Browse the DataStore and re-add them once again?

    Thanks,
    Habibalby

Re: VM won't power on from been suspended

@GeesRik: What do your host utilization metrics look like? Are you on VirtualCenter 2.5.0u2? Disable HA if the hosts are members of a cluster and then power on the VMs.

@habibalby: What did you do to receive -25 reputation points? Rough crowd here.
