  • How to Get Filer Information from ESX host?

    Hi,

Is there anyway I can see the filer name(s) from which LUN(s) are presented to an ESX host?

    Thanks in advance!

No. But you can give it any name you would like so that you can recognize it

They are presented as LUN's with vmhbaxxxxxxxx, the info from which SAN it is presented from to your ESX Host is not available.

The software that manages your SAN Fabric is another story though...

            Thanks Maish!

I also think that getting SAN info is not possible from ESX.. and probably one can use SAN mamanement software seperately to get that info.
