  • vmware image working from DVD

    Hi

    i try make an image working from dvd

    i have already modified the configuration file with
    logging = "FALSE"
    mainMem.useNamedFile = "FALSE"

    but vmw still creates *.nvram, *.vmx.lck and *.vmdk.lck

    with nvram = "c:/tmp/test.nvram" i already relocated the file but cann't i disable it ?

    and how can i deactivate locking the image with .lck or can i also relocate it to harddrive?

    i works with workstation 5.5 but in the end it has to run with vmware-player.

    thanx
    matcho

    nvram is needed. It's the virtualized Phoenix BIOS that the virtual motherboard uses. If nvram does not already exist, VMware will re-create it using defaults automatically.

    I don't know how to disable locking.
