  • VMWare Server 1.04 On Linux?

    OK,

I've just installed VMWare server on OpenSUSE 10.3 but I must have done something wrong OR I haven't done it yet because from my installation of VMWare Server I should be able to remotely connect (by client or by web) to that on the Linux box but by web it simply says, "The server at x.x.x.x is taking too long to respond" and by client, "A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond ..."

To my mind, given that my remote client CAN connect to VMWare Server running on Windows 2003 that means that it probably isn't running on the Linux box (which I can ping). I've checked in YAST and it appears to be installed so has anyone any idea why I can't get to it?

Can anyone even tell me how I can check to see if it's properly running on the Linux system? I can't even find the Linux equivalent of the VMWare Server Console that I get when I install on Windows.
