  • Running Exchange on VMWARE Server

    Hi

Has anyone experience of running Exchange 2003 in a live sitaution on VMWARE Server?

    Have you found any problems?

Do you create different virtual disks for log files and stores etc.

    Any other special considerations?

Any advice of what to do OR what not to do would be useful

    Thanks for any help.

I only use it for test, with limited amount of users, and it works fine.
For a full production environment, ESX is a better option.

technically, it isnt supported, but i have a live FE on ESX.

i run an enitire exchange FE/BE topology from my home all on VMWare Server.

i havent had any problems with the home setup, but there are only 10 accounts or so...

i have 500+ on my work server. only about 100 or so access the OWA/OMA via the virtual, but its stable and works fine.
