  • VMW Server: Run as Service?

Ive got VMW Server running my test WSS 3.0 site and I need to keep the host logged in to keep VMW running. Is there a way to get it to run as a service?

Edit: Just noticed there is a forum for VMW Server. I see I cannot delete this, can I get this moved?

    Hi SLMHC,

    Thanks for the post.

When you say VMW are you talking about VMware?

If so, this is the VMware forum you are in.

About getting VMware Server to run as a service - it is a service. I think what you want to do is to set the virtual guests to start automatically when the system boots.

I will attach a graphic on how to do this.

If I misunderstood your question, please let me know.

Yes I do mean VMWare Server. The option was greyed out the last time I looked at it, but this time I powered down the VM and changed the setting.

      Thanks a lot!
