  • 32 bit Hardware 64 bit testing

    I only have 32 bit Hardware and want to begin testing Exchange 2007, is there any way I can begin testing

    I cant install Exchange on a VMwaer machine on my 32 bit hardware can i?

    Use the 32 bit version, it is for testing
    Make sure you have plenty of ram though.

      If your question deals with VMWare, you may want to check the VMWare Virtualization forum too...
      Anyway, neither VirtualPC nor VirtualServer allow you to install a 64-bit virtual machine on a 32-bit host. Only VMWare can do this. Take a look at this blog, you'll find a lot of resources there...
      Note: Exchange2007 on a 32-bit OS is not supported for production environments, but for testing and training only. Full list of requirements of this product can be found in Microsoft's Technet.

        Also, you can NOT upgrade the 32bit version of Exchange to production whereas I believe you can do that with the 64bit trial version.

          the 32 bit version doesn't expire btw .. it has a nag screen that says it will expire ... but it never does so u can use it indefinatly
