  • VPC using host wireless connection

    Hi,

    I am trying to use the wireless on VPC without the NAT and unable to connect.
    When I do IPCONFIG /renew it says: DHCP server unreachable.

    Why is that?

    I also want to know that why when using NAT, it grabs the IP 192.168.131.65? It does so with both wireless and wired connection.

    Host IP is 192.168.0.1
    VPC IP is 192.168.131.65.

    Thanks for your help,
    zafa

    Re: VPC using host wireless connection

    What are the Host and Guest operating systems?
    How are they setup?
    What IP range and Subnet Mask is being used?
    What additional info can be supplied about your setup?

      Re: VPC using host wireless connection

      Here is what I have

      Host:
      Windows XP
      Professional
      Version 2002
      SP2

      VPC:
      Windows 2000
      5.00.2195
      SP4

      Ntwk'ing:
      Host:
      IP range 192.168.0.xxx
      xxx = 100 (starting)
      Subnet= 255.255.255.0

      VPC:
      IP 192.168.131.65 (not sure what range - always grabs this one)
      Subnet= 255.255.255.0

      Hope this helps!
      thanks
