  • Upgrade from Virtual Server R2 to Virtual serve R2 SP1

One of the cool features of the new "Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1" is the fact that you now can take back-ups of your virtual servers . I am running the older Virtual Server R2 (w/o SP1) on production, and I would like to upgrade to the latest version to be able to backups my server. Has anyone done the "UPGRADE" succesfully? or do you need to save your data and do a clean install? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK It's an update and should be installed on top of R2.

From the few things I have read they all state that you should shutdown all VM's before performing the upgrade.
