  • Import VMware machines to Virtual Server

    Hello to All,

I am looking for a way to import VMware virtual machines to MS Virtual Server. Does anyone know how and if this can be done?

I know that VMware has their importer tool but that goes the other direction.

    Thanks for any help!

Wow, I never thought I would be answering a mod's question, which leads me to believe that I missed the point, but I'll give it a whirl.

    I found this: http://searchservervirtualization.te...73&psrc=CLT_94

    Does that help at all?

Hopefully it does, but he did post that question last year

Ha, that's funny. I saw October and didn't bother looking at the year. I happened to click on this post - it was a "Related Post" at the bottom of another post I was looking at. Hey, maybe someone else will be searching the forums and find it useful!

Yes, I was thinking "hmm, I don't recall posting a question" and "who is this guy who posted a question and looks just like me?"

I had forgotten about this quesiton.

I never really did find the answer to that question & the link you posted does answer it - THANKS Eli!

I wish that the two options to converting a VMware VMDK to a MS VHD weren't so equally painful.

I think that, for now, I will just stick with VMware products and not have to worry about this

All the best to you guys,

I actually came here looking for that answer, for some reason google was only showing me the VS to VMW converter ... excellent find, thank you.

EDIT: after reading the above site, it sounds like a pain in the rear to get converted over. So much for that idea.
