  • Virtual SAN

    Hi all,

I have my own network configured at home so that I can have a play around and experiment a bit. Does anyone know of any software where I can create a virtual SAN to play around with? At work we have 2 left hand SANs and 4 HP SANs but obviously I don't want to play around with these!

    Many thanks,

    Andrew

    Re: Virtual SAN

I'm note sure what you mean by virtual SAN. Do you mean a Virtual Storage Appliance or do you mean SAN software that you can create a SAN with?

If the latter, you can try these:

      Hi there,

It was the latter - I'm wanting something that will mimic a SAN so I can play around with iscsi and behave like a SAN so I can have a play around. Thanks for the link! I'll go check then out

As an addition, there are others as well. For example the NetApp Simulator, EMC Simulator and OpenFiler
