  • Change domain of server where hyper-v manager is running on?

I have hyper-v manager running on my machine. I am logged in on this with as [email protected]
I had to build a new domain with a dc that is in hyper-v. The current machine where hyper-v manager is on, it still in the old domain( that does nog excists anymore).
Can I somehow change that without losing all my VM's?

Yes, you can remove a HyperV host from a domain or change domain without affecting the VMs

However, be aware of issues with a virtualised DC on a host in the same domain:

Host starts, tries to authenticate against DC before starting VMs including the DC.... What could possibly go wrong...
