  • IIs 7.0 NLB

    Hi,

We have 2 windows 2008 enterprise servers enabled with hyper - v role. ( no shared storage or anything)

On the guest os can it be possible to setup an NLB or failover between 2 webservers only for the HTTP request if anyone goes down? It's purely for the website.

    Thanks.

NLB is no problem -- will tell you how
Clustering is more involved but still possible

What guest OS are you running?
    Is it 2008 R2 or vanilla 2008?

It's difficult for me to see what are you trying to achieve...
Are the Web servers two virtual machines on each of the Hyper-V hosts? On the same one?
I mean, you're talking about Hyper-V... But where are the Web servers coming from?
