  • Totally & Completely Delete a VM?

    Hi all,

I've read a few articles and think I sorts kinda know how to do this... How do I completely remove a VM from my Hyper-V virtual environment? It is a virtual server that has been turned off for over 2 years and is absolutely no longer needed. It is clustered and HA, so there are all sorts of traces of it: drives, snapshots, etc...

Can someone please let me know what the overall and specific process is to do this?

    Thanks!

Remove it from the failover cluster. Delete it from Hyper-V. Delete the VHD files and any snapshot files that are left behind after deleting the virtual machine. Done.

Sweet, that is exactly what I suspected. So it really is that simple?
