  • new local partition

    Hello,
    during hyper-v (bare-metal) installation I created one partition 15GB.
Using diskpart just created new one for VMs.
However, it is not shows up in RSAT when create new VM.

    What is the trick ?

    Thx.
    Michael.

    Is the additional partition formatted?

it was formated, but after your tip I decided to double check details. The drive letter wasn't assigned
      I did it...
Now I have another little problem...
When provide a path for new VM I choose new partition but cannot create any folder on it. New folder button not works. Right click doesn't have a menu.
Looks like permissions issue. Is there another command in diskpart for have access to partition (I am full admin). I want to know what is missing for making folder creation rework from Hyper-v manager.

      thx.

I created folders for VMs on host. This way it works.
I should probably check permissions from command line.
