  • install hyperv directly on hardware

    Hello,

Is Microsoft Hyperv consider type 1 hypervisor? Is there a way to install HyperV directly onto the hardware without installing Windows OS first?

    Thanks.

Yes, it can be installed with no Windows.

              Hi Jonab

I've written a few articles recently on installing HyperV and posted them on thecodefish.com site here:

              http://www.thecodefish.com/Virtualiz...llation_Part_I

The first article here deals with the HyperV install onto the hardware, then part II deals with guest virtual machines.

              Hope it helps.

              Cheers
              Paul
