  • Hyper-V hot migration coming as early as 2010

    Microsoft will debut hot migration (a feature VMware has been shipping since 2004) with Windows Server 2008 R2 as early as 2010.

        true.. But the big question is

        What will VMware have for us by the time Hyper-v can do Live migration...

          and don't forget Xen is not far behind, as well as QEMU/KVM

              With Citrix at the reigns, Xen will be run into the ground. I'm already calling a vote of no confidence at this point in time based on 10 years experience with Winframe/Metaframe/Presentation Server.

              I'm waiting patiently to see what Simon Crosby's crack habit has him spewing at Virtualization Congress.

                I really hope Citrix will not mess things up for Xen - it is a good product, and the fact it can do more or less everything ESX can, helps in driving prices down
