  • Network load balancing failing

We have 2 servers setup using NLB (Servers running ADFS if that matters) We are seeing that at random times the one or the other server shows up as converging and not converged. While this is happening the cluster either server stops responding to requests. When it happens we try deleting it and re-adding it and it stays at converging. The only fix is to delete the cluster and recreate it and then it works fo a day sometimes 2. Is there any way of determining why the cluster is failing? Or better yet stopping it.

What are the servers hosted on and is it physical or virtual?

NLB members determine convergence by exchanging information between each other (via NLB heartbeats). Do you have a separate network for the NLB network or are you running NLB on the production network?

We don't have a separate VLAN or anything like that if thats what you're asking and up until the last few weeks this hasn't been an issue
