  • Adding a Remote Desktop server to domain

I am quite familiar with terminal services for Server 2008 but Server 2012 is throwing me. I want to add a Server 2012 Remote Desktop Server to a Server 2012 domain with one DC. I want to use Remote Desktop Gateway services so the user will have to authenticate using our self-signed certificate.

On the Remote Desktop Services server, do I add Remote Desktop Services (RDS), RD Licensing, RD Gateway & RD Session Host or do I add RD Gate on the domain controller?

    Thanks for any clarification.

How many servers do you have?
You should put the RD Gateway on it's own server. The rest of the roles could be on a single server but it all depends on the amount of users.
