  • Clustered print server on vmware environment

Microsoft has removed the print server role/service in failover cluster in server 2012. Instead they want you to utilize the High Availability Printing feature.

But this feature requires Hyper-V. Does anyone know if its possible to implement a similar solution on vSphere?

Is any type of print cluster possible on vSphere in Server 2012?

Well, you can achieve the part where the virtual machine is moved between hosts (in vSphere it would obviously be ESXi hosts), but I can't see how you would achieve the monitoring of the Print Spooler part on vSphere.
