    Hi,

    Domain users need to be given permission to install only specific permitted application . Please help.

    Since you are above Server 2008, look at Applocker:

      Hi,

      Seems Applocker is for windows 7 , but we have both win xp and 7 computers.

        Sorry, my psychic powers must have been off (or my tinfoil hat on ), as I entirely failed to pick up WinXP anywhere, just the server edition from the forum you posted in. Will you be retaining XP after the April termination of support?

        Even if Applocker is not an option, there are still Software Restriction Policies, which offer similar features, available through Group Policy
