  • 2012 device based CAL.

    Hi,

I have 300 device based cal for having a legal access to windows server 2012. All this 300 computers are assisgned with static ip address. Should it be a violation if any of the computer ip address is changed to new ip address ? will this be then considered as a 301th computer ?

    Regards,
    Anishk

    No.

The IP details have nothing to do with CAL's, just imagine what would happen with a DHCP server
