  • Windows Server 2012 Deduplication Issue

I am running into an issue with the Windows deduplication. The storage savings and deduplication looks like it is being reflected in Windows Explorer and in disk management. However, on the HyperV clustered shared volume does not reflect the reduction. Quite the opposite, while the optimization is running, I am losing space on the Clustered disk, while the disk inside the OS is gaining space. I have attached the output from the dedupstatus, volume, and schedule.

I have disabled the background optimization and any optimization running during the week.

Am I missing something as to how this should be working? According to the reflected storage I see in Windows Explorer, I should only be using 3.82 TB, but on HyperV, it is showing that I am using over 6.
