  • server 2012 paging file

    Hi,
I did a quick search for Server 2012 paging file recomendation...
The TechNet WIKI below confirms 1.5 of RAM old school formula for Server 2012.
I remember that even for Windows 7 the suggestion for paging file was to leave it for system judgement.
In coments everyone thanks the author, but one is totally against...
For me his view make sense.
I would like to know an opinion on this matter here...
The reading is not too long and I guess could be interesting.

    Thx.

IMHO (and purely IMHO) always go with a fixed size PF as otherwise the OS will expand and contract it at will, slowing the system when it does so. As far as the size goes, I would not go over about 8 GB regardless of physical RAM
