  • Is there a way with GPO to automatically place a clock gadget on a W7 user's desktop?

I support a private school and would like to know if anyone has ever figured out how to do the equivalent of dragging a gadget clock & calendar onto the desktop via a GPO. Is it even possible?

It appears to be possible with Group Policy Preferences - see http://desktopguidance.blogspot.co.u...tings-for.html for a worked example

Bear in mind though that Windows Sidebar has been deprecated by Microsoft due to security issues
