  • RemoteApp RDS Services

    Morning

I'm trying to publish a remote app. The remote app is a bit of a legacy app where as it needs to point to a network location to run.

I cant publish this the normal way but i believe i can through powershell.

anyone give me assistance with the powershell commands.

Basically the app needs to run off either a network share \\server\app\app.exe or there is a mapped drive for it ( preffered) i.e H:\app\app.exe

    thanks

You can't do it with Powershell either. From the help:
    -FilePath<String>

Specifies a path for the executable file for the application. Do not include any environment variables. For session collections, this path must be a valid local path on all Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) servers in the collection. For virtual desktop collections, this path must be a valid local path on all virtual desktops in the collection.

But what you can try is creating a script on the RDS server that launches the old app and publish the script.
