Share Folder with permision

  • Share Folder with permision

    Dear All,
    we are using Windows Server 2008 R2 and We have some Folders are on File Server and we want to share that folder for just users can:
    1-Open , create folders, open words file and can save to update on that word file.


    Only one thing that they can't do is "Delete"
    Can you show me please?

    Normally giving NTFS Read and Write permissions (only) would do the trick (Modify permission allows delete) but unfortunately Word relies on temporary files so requires Modify
    (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/277867 - old but AFAIK still valid - and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211632 - valid for Word 2010)

    Basically, I don't think you can do what you want to

      Exactly this.

      I've recently had to give users modify access to a folder to enable them to save Excel files.
