  • terminal users can not log off

    Hi,

We are using Windows Server 2008 as DC and Windows 2003 as our domain member server. We have installed terminal server role on this server.

Now when my users are logging off , there session still continues on server and when they tries to login they are getting error. I must have to manually kill their session.

Is there any way , that users session will automatically log off.

    Thanks,

    1. Are you sure they're logging off and not just disconnecting from the session. I'm failing to see how they can't log off. What happens when they log off?

    2. Posting the error they get when trying to log back on would help us to help you.

    3. There are Group Policy settings that you van use to log off and/or terminate TS sessions. Do you want to log them off automatically after a set period of time or if they have a disconnected session?

Yes there is, by configuring idle timers and action on idle timers in you're terminal server configuration.
