  • NTFS permissions GPO

    hi.
i need a way to apply NTFS permissions on users' desktop folder (which is not redirected)

By "Computer configuration\Policies\windows settings\security settings\file system" i can apply anything not user specific, like "c:\new folder"
But i need to apply it to the user folder, like c:\users\%username%\desktop

    any idea ??

How do you want to apply permission to users' desktop folder? Do you need other domain users to have access to someone else desktop?
look in the area of "User configuration->Preferences->Windows Settings->Folder. But I dont think this is what you are looking for. Maybe you should look into security group and apply permission from there or use GPO to apply the membership.

Can you elaborate a little more on how you want to achive it. Which group do you need to have access to user desktop?

    Thanks,
    HN
