  • Add a second web server and create a NLB

    Hello everybody,
    I am new in NLB.Windows Server 2008 R2 - NLB

Currently my infrastructure has a unique Web Server machine hosting some web applications and sites.

The new requirement is: improve load request and continuity, therefore the NLB is the target.

    The step
    1) Adding another machine
    2) Host the same website/applications
    3) Intergrate with the existing Web Server: NLB (Network Load Balancing)

    My question is:

How to import/copy the web application/Sites to the new server to avoid to re-install all the software?
And making sure that once Imported/copied the NLB works correctly.

    Thanks

The fact that no-one replied suggests not...

How are you doing the load balancing - appliance, DNS or otherwise?

A very quick gives some good starting points:

I suggest you review some of these and come back with specific questions, as well as more information
