  • Network Cards Order

I try to deploy Windows Server 2008 R2 with CloudShaper. In my Server there are 2 Onboard and 2 external Network Cards each with 2 Ports:
My Question: How can i regulate the Network Adapter Order? Everytime the Order is different. Sometimes both Ports on external Network Card 1 are named as LAN Connection 1 and 2, sometimes the Other external Network Card is named as Connection 1 and 2.

    Re: Network Cards Order

To edit the network card binding order in Windows Server 2008R2:

1.Login to the server with administrative credentials

2.Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center

3.On the left hand side select Manage network connections

4.Press Alt+N to display the Advanced menu

5.Select Advanced Settings. On the Adapters and Bindings tab, highlight your NIC and use the arrows on the right hand side to adjust itís binding order.

You can also access the Network Connections screen directly by clicking Start > Run , typing ncpa.cpl and pressing Enter
