In company we run a print server 2008 r2. After printer drivers have been updated, a few clients are not able to print anymore. On theyer computer printer status is "printer need new driver" and ask for update. User accept to update, something appears to install but for not avail.
    Help please.

    Thank you.

Could it be the 32-bit drivers are missing?

        OK, lets get more information.

Is there any pattern to the clients which work/don't work?
        Did the clients work previously?
Is this for all printers or just some (if so, what printers)?
Is it every time you update the drivers?
Does a driver rollback (actually uninstall for printer drivers) resolve the situation?
What is in the client event logs when the driver update fails?

Is there any pattern to the clients which work/don't work? - No
Did the clients work previously? - Yes
Is this for all printers or just some (if so, what printers)? - Kyocera FS-1128MFP KX and Kyocera Mita KM-1650 KX
Is it every time you update the drivers? - We made two updates and the problem persists on same clients.
Does a driver rollback (actually uninstall for printer drivers) resolve the situation? - We didn't make a driver rollback.
What is in the client event logs when the driver update fails?

            Add:
What client OS is on the failed and good clients?
Any other differences (user permissions perhaps)?
            What about the event logs?

              Re: Printserver problem

Can a user who has not these printing issues on his/her computer log on to a computer that has the problem. Does he/she then has problems to print from that computer?
