  • Understanding Trust Relationships

    HI

What is the difference between trusted and trusting relationships?

with a one way trust how do you remember who is granted access to resources and who is not granted access to resources?

I am new to Active Directory any help would be greatly appreicated.

    thanks

    Re: Understanding Trust Relationships

Roughly the direction of the trust:

    Trusted domain contains the accounts/groups
Trusting domain contains the resources and grants permissions to objects from the trusted domain

In a two way trust you are really creating separate one way trusts

Remembering who is granted access comes down to good documentation -- use groups to make things simpler
