I have recently setup a server 2008r2 for vpn use.
pptp for now, I have installed rras and allowed user to dial in, I can connect ok and authenticates, gives me ip range of 192.168.1.x the problem is once connected, the server looses internet connectivity and all the local clients loose connectivity to the server aswell, until it has rebooted. I then get kicked off the vpn as the server has losts connectivity

vpn uses static ip range from 192.168.50 to 60,

    any ideas? thanks

    Re: vpn

Anything in the event log, does the client which is connecting have a static Ip address?

      Re: vpn

No client uses dhcp from its local 7 box
There are a load of dns errors...log says the ip is granted to the vpn user
Then dns errors as the connectivity goes down il try paste some..
