  • Kerberos EVENT ID 5 time sync issue on virtual OS

I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2 on a Fusion (VM Ware) system. This is a dumb server as it has no management of AD/DNS or DHCP. Nothing fancy going on.

It appears to get out of sync with the DCs as I get this message:

    Event Details:
The kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_TKT_NYV error from the server ultimaserver$. This indicates that the ticket used against that server is not yet valid (in relationship to that server time). Contact your system administrator to make sure the client and server times are in sync, and that the KDC in realm SNOWTR.LOCAL is in sync with the KDC in the client realm.

When I visual look at the time on screen or via command line it appears to be correct to the second with the DCs.

Am I dealing with any real concern here? I get this issue in the log on our SBS 2008 server once every morning when it compiles important server event logs.
