  • Windows 2008 R2 Disk Quota

    Hello Friends,

We are planning to roll out Disk Quota in our company and my query is "What would happen to the old data after implementing quota??"

Say, the end user already has 1GB of data on the server. We are setting Disk quota limit of 500 MB.. What will happen to the old data (1GB)

Will it be shrunk? or deleted? or still user can access those data (1GB)

    Your reply is welcome..

    Regards
    Karthik

No, nothing will be deleted, but the user will be over quota and subject to whatever restrictions (no more saves) that places on them
