  • How to enable logging on SMTP feature - 2008

I clicked enable logging under IIS 6.0 and sent some emails but I do not see the logs populating. Is there a delay before they actually populate?

    Thanks!

Server 2008 uses IIS 7 so make sure you have enabled logging there!

When i go to IIS7 Manager, I cannot figure out where to log. I see sites, and i see default site, but there is nothing under it. Should i see SMTP somewhere in here?

Have you used the Server Manager to review Roles and Features?

Under features, you have SMTP server Tools and SMTP server. See if you can expand those or other options within there and you may get options including IIS.
