  • WSUS Disk Migration

    hi,

I need to change the disk location to my wsus server.

    I did the following:

    through cmd:

    WSUSInstallationDrive:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Server Update Services\Tools

    wsusutil.exe movecontent D:\WSUS1\ D:\move.log

In my old location i have the following directories:
    UpdateServicesDbFiles
    UpdateServicesPackages
    WsusContent

After successufly running the command in the new directory i have:
    UpdateServicesPackages
    WsusContent

the "UpdateServicesDbFiles" containing "SUSDB.mdf" and "SUSDB_log.ldf" is keep updating and growing normaly.

How to move the UpdateServicesDbFiles to a new location and format the partition holding old WSUS files.
    Scenario:
Server: windows 2008 Standard Server R2
WSUS: 3.2 using windows default database.

    Regards

    Re: WSUS Disk Migration

Using our friend Google, I found this article. Sounds fairly straight-forward:

Never had to do this myself, but it looks good.
