  • School: intranet portal

Now, my client is asking me to setup an internal portal to the kids. The objective of this portal is to publish few internet pages (ufll websites like: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/, or one webpage from the entire site like: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/28/te...=1&ref=science) internally, without giving to the students access to the internet. How can I do it? For sure besides using filtering, that is not the case, since the students must know which pages are available.

You could look at using the free version of SharePoint, which is SharePoint Foundation Edition.

You would still need to do some sort of filtering and only allow specific URLs.

I take it that no Internet access is permitted to students at the moment? Do you have any FireWalls capable of filtering, Proxy servers etc? If you cna give more details with regards to your setup.

A firewall with CF will be implemented over there.

The most important thing is to have on site few sites like encyclopedias and the option to search all of them by once, not only one by one.

Right now they dont have any internet connection.
