  • Increase drive letters on GPO Policy in Server 2008

Hello everyone, I am using Windows server 2008 R2, I want to hide specified Drives on my clients workstations but Windows list shown A,B,C,D only. In windows 2003 I add .adm file and it worked fine, but in Server 2008 R2 there's no option to add .adm file. Plz immediate help would save my lots of time. Thanks in advance

Check out group policy PREFERENCES -- IIRC as part of the user drive mappings you have options to hide all drive letters

I don't want to hide all drives my friend. I want to hide specific drives like X:, Y:, Z:. We did have this option in server 2003 by customizing adm files. So do we have this kinda option in server 2008?

What assigns the drive letters X: Y: Z: to start with? As you pointed out, they're not included in the Windows policies be default. Wouldn't it be simpler not to assign those letters in the first place?
