    Re: Adding domain via IIS

I have never heard of such a concept..

I can envision how you can use .NET code to leverage available Directory Services classes to create a computer account in the domain, but the actual joining the computer to the domain is the challenging part. With that said, what occurs to me is that maybe you can have a shell open and execute a "netdom" command on the workstation that is using the web page to try to join the domain. Anything is possible with enough time and money...

      Re: Adding domain via IIS

There is a new feature in 2008R2 of an "offline domain join" where a file is generated at a DC that can be run on a disconnected client computer.
First few links here will give details: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=off...HMrMhAfmuInhDA

Alternatively if you have SBS there is the http://connect site which will (on a LAN) invoke the software to do a SBS domain join

http://connect is a feature of Small Business Server only -- not available on any other version of Windows
