  • upgrading from win2k3 to win2k8

Ok, I'm trying a simple inplace ugrade from Windows 2003 R2 Stand Ed, SP2 to Windows 2008 R2 with SP1, but it simply just won't let me.

I boot to the cd, choose upgrade...then it says please remove CD and restart server, but then it boots right to windows 2003 again, if I place cd back in while in 2003 I obviously can't do the upgrade from there.

    both servers are 64 bit.

    driving nuts!
