    Hello all,
    I have a question.
When I have 2 companies en I have to make it in to one company.
You can then do a migration or start from scrats.
Now my question, what are the Benefits and disadvantages of doing a migration ?
And what are the Benefits and disadvantages of starting with a new installation.

Please get a consultant on this one....

    How big are the companies?
    How distributed?
What infrastrugure do they already have?
    WHat budget do you have?
and lots more similar questions before we can hazard a guess....

      Thx for the repl'y

Sorry had to be a little clearer.

I am in school to lurn IT.
Now i have to migrate 2 domains in to 1 domain.

The companies both have 10 users.
On the server there is a domain controller,DNS, file server and print server
There are only 3 shares home folders, profiles and software.
So i would just build a new domain for this situation.

And i have documented that and my teacher found it good, the only thing she sad is that she wants me to make a document with the benefits and disadvantages of doing a migration with AD-MT.

The one thing i no to be a benefit is that with a migration you can do it part by part and spread it over a time frame.

But there mast be more benefits and disadvantages

you should be able to find plenty of reference websites on the internet that will help you out with this sort of information.

Even if we gave you the answers, it's not really going to be beneficial to you long term - sure, you might pass this particular course or module, but it's not going to help you learn a key skill you need to succeed in IT - the ability to research, and analyse

          Thats true.
I have already read most of the technet from microsoft.
So will do some more google, to find disadvantages.

A couple of points to consider.
Is it going to take longer to migrate or start from scratch?
Can you afford to have the downtime for a clean build?
            1 1 was a racehorse.
            2 2 was 1 2.
            1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
            2 2 1 1 2
