  • The Request Session Access Is Denied

I have been using my TS for 2 Yrs, 20 users, no problem. i had to do a clean install on my TS.

on the grp policy, Computer\Window\security\local\user righs\allow log on through rdp. i added remote desktop users, terminal server users, my domain users.
I know i don't need to add all of these, but nothing is working.

i can log on as administrtor, and the only way a user can log on is if i add them to the DOMAIN ADMIN GROUP.

On the actual system are you allowing remote access and are you blocking normal users from logging in somehow?

      Check the terminal server licensing.

Have you also checked the 'Deny logon through Terminal Services' policy.

        Rems

        just got it licenced yesterday
        deny rule is not enabled

little confused with the question"are you allowing remote access" on my question i put who i am allowing, so i am assuming you are talking about something else. As far as blocking users, i wouldn't think so, this is a fresh install, the only thing i have edited is the group policy on the TS.

        thanks for your quick responces,

I'm refering to the option in System>Remote Settings>Remote Desktop, I could be mistaken as what it's used for, but is it disabled?

Managor, thanks, yea, i had that right.

              thanks for the hyperling mhoogev,

i have it working now. I didn't have the users added to the remote desktop users group on the group manager.

I figured that was covered since i had the users part of the remotedesktop users of the domain. I knew if i ever tore the server down this would happen, wouldn't remember that step.

              Thanks Again
