is there a way to use windows server 2008 wbadmin with windows server 2008?

I am using it right now for 2008 and I really like it, and at the same time it would really be great to be able to use it with 2003 to keep things simple.

Yes but I imagine that's not the question you were intending to ask

The short answer is no. Windows 2003 uses NTBackup, which was replaced by WBAdmin in 2008. Even if you find a way to copy the necessary components from Windows 2008 to 2003, you'd most likely be in breach of the 2008 EULA. You may be covered if you bought an extra 2008 licence which you didn't use (one for each 2003 server you install the component on), however that's something you'd have to consult Microsoft about.
